A T-shirt is a piece of upper body clothing with (usually) short sleeves - if you spread them to the sides, the whole thing will look like the letter T, hence the name. This apparel has a lot of different variations - depending on sleeve length, cut, fit , neckline, material weight & type. All in all, T-shirts are usually entry-level clothing, inexpensive and useful for any situation, both on their own and in combination with other pieces.
Printseekers have many types of print on demand T-shirts available, majority of them are made from 100% cotton. The most affordable is the men’s or women’s “Basic”, featuring a classic shape and 160 g / m2 weight. An upgraded version is called “Heavy New'' - like the name implies, the fabric is heavier, at 200 g / m2, giving it a sturdier feel and better printing qualities. This is a unisex T-shirt.
For something different, we have the V-neck T-shirts, both men’s and women’s versions, with different necklines. Another sub-category is the men's or women's long sleeve T-shirt, which has an elegant, a bit more formal feel to it, while preserving the same great material properties as the other pieces. In our T-shirt category you can also find men's and women's tank tops, which technically do not count as T-shirts, but are otherwise quite similar to them, from a fabric point of view.
Last, but not least, it is no secret that environment-friendly products are a huge trend right now, so we have some suitable options for sellers. Namely, the T-shirts “Origin” and “Native”, which are both made from 100% organic cotton. “Organic” means that the cotton is grown in a way that it does not impact the environment as much as the basic cotton production does. As mentioned, most of our T-shirts are made out of cotton, or a combination of cotton-elastane (proportion 95% to 5%). Cotton provides breathability, but elastane provides elasticity and longevity. Cotton is also a skin-friendly material, suitable for those with allergies. Some organic cotton products are also available.
Most of our T-shirts are available in sizes XS to 2XL, some going to 3XL. Size guides are available for all products. As for colors, you can sell your custom T-shirts in more than 30 colors (depending on specific model).
All Printseekers pod T-shirts can be customized using three methods - DTG, DTF and embroidery. DTG (direct-to-garment) printing is the industry standard. It is similar to printing on paper & uses ink jet technology - the ink is sprayed on the clothing. Perfect for most situations! DTF (direct-to-film) printing means that the design is printed on a special film, which is then transferred on to the garment. It uses the same printers & inks as DTG, however, the film provides better color reproduction, and it can be placed anywhere on the apparel, including inside - works fine for printed labels.
Embroidery is a different customization method altogether. A design gets stitched on, rather than printed on the fabric. The overall process is more complex and expensive than printing, so it is usually used on small areas and with small designs, such as a logo on a breast pocket. The main argument here is that T-shirts are always in demand, regardless of season or most other factors. People can easily become repeat customers when they want to expand their wardrobe again. Another plus is that, due to the relatively low prices, T-shirts fall within the “impulse-buy” product category, which means they can be bought without a long consideration process. Lastly, it is worth mentioning that shipping costs are low due to the small size of the package.
Almost anything can look great on T-shirts, however, transparent elements (designs without straight borders) are an especially good choice for T-shirts and apparel in general. These include patterns, quotes of all kinds, and designs where the background is cut out, leaving only the subject itself. Honestly, you can put almost anything on a T-shirt!
In contrast to home decor, T-shirts will be seen by many more people, so they are often used as a loudspeaker for different statements and a reflection of wearer's personality. It is worth noting that print area on T-shirts is not that huge, especially when compared to full size wall art. Due to this, simple designs with few details work best - and passers-by will have enough time to pick up the full meaning of the design.
